Frequently Asked Questions

  • Embodied Voice Breathwork® is a somatic healing, nervous system regulation, and embodiment modality that weaves together conscious connected breath, kundalini pranayama, breath retention, vocal expression, sound healing, and energy work.

This practice supports deep emotional release, nervous system regulation, trauma integration, and authentic self-expression by activating the body, voice, and breath as pathways for healing.

  • The benefits of breathwork are grounded in well-documented physiology. By changing our breathing patterns, we change our blood chemistry (CO2 and Oxygen levels) and signal the autonomic nervous system to move between states of rest and activation. While there is a beautiful "mystery" to the emotional shifts people experience, the foundation of our work is based on the science of the body. We avoid "hype" and instead focus on measurable resilience and well-being.

Breathwork has been shown to support both physical and emotional well-being. Benefits may include:

    • Reduced stress, anxiety, and overwhelm

    • Release of stored emotional trauma

    • Improved nervous system regulation

    • Increased clarity, focus, and creativity

    • Enhanced connection to your intuition and inner guidance

    • Greater confidence in self-expression and voice

  • This method uniquely integrates conscious connected breathwork, Kundalini Pranayama, voice activation and somatic expression into traditional breathwork techniques.

Unlike passive breathwork styles, this approach encourages:

    • Sound and vocal release

    • Emotional expression through the body

    • Energetic awareness and intuitive connection

It’s not just about breathing—it’s about fully embodying your truth.

  • A typical session may include:

    • Grounding and intention setting

    • Guided conscious connected breathing

    • Music and sound immersion

    • Vocal expression and emotional release

    • Integration and rest

Experiences vary—some people feel physical sensations, emotional release, or deep states of relaxation and clarity.

  • Breathwork is generally safe when practiced with a trained facilitator. However, it may not be suitable for everyone.

  • Yes, upon successful completion, you will receive a 20-hour Foundations certification to facilitate Embodied Voice Breathwork® sessions.

  • Yes. The training integrates trauma-aware principles and emphasizes safety, consent, and nervous system regulation. In breathwork, safety is a profound responsibility. When we use techniques like Conscious Connected Breathwork, we are working directly with the nervous system.A trauma-informed training ensures you have the "nervous system literacy" to recognize when a student is moving into a state of overwhelm or "shutdown." Instead of pushing through, you learn how to resource and pace the experience so that healing can happen safely. Without this foundation, there is a real risk of retraumatization. We teach you how to hold a space where everyone feels safe enough to truly let go.

  • Our method is based in Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB). While CCB shares historical roots with Holotropic Breathwork, our approach is focused on modern trauma-informed principles and adaptability. We teach a style that is grounded, ethical, and can be facilitated in a variety of settings, from 1-to-1 clinical sessions to large group workshops safely and effectively.
